Love and Longing

She chose to love him, despite knowing that he lives in a land far away. The distance between them is great. She does not care; she loves him so much. Then there are times in which she longs to be in his arms. At such times, she looks into the distance and recalls their meetings. She remembers the warmth of his embrace, his intense gaze as he looked into her eyes. At such a moment, she felt her heart melt and she dreamed a thousand dreams. She is on the verge of tears but stops her tears from falling as she envisages a future sweet and full of togetherness with him. She is reconciled with the fact that he would for the most time be away from her. For she knows she would love him under any circumstance.
